Zoom out

The zoom out feature is either not all that good or maybe there’s some problem with it. On one photo I just recently zoomed out of it simply showed the original photo (identical proportions) but added a checkerboard frame sort of thing around the original photo. Each spot on the check board was itself an image of something else entirely, having nothing to do with my picture. Not what I was hoping for
