Video Credit Cost
I noticed this week that the credit cost of video creation doubled, without any notice. It used to be 10 credits, now it’s 20. That’s a pretty significant increase to apply without any heads up or reason. Is there an explanation for this, or will credit costs just keep going up as much as you can manage?

The reason is that videos used to be a few seconds, and now they’re 10 seconds. So that’s 2x the price. And Kling 2.1 is more expensive than the previous video models.
One Kling 2.1 Pro video costs me about $0.90 and I charge 20 credits for that.
Premium Plan gives you 3000 credits for $49/mo annually, so that’s $49/3000×20=$0.32 for one video, so on each video I lose about $0.58. More on higher plans.
Which is fine, because I make money because not everyone uses all the credits. But I still have to sometimes increase credit cost for this kind of stuff especially as video models get better with longer duration.
Veo3 for example is something crazy like $6 per video!
