It would be useful to see practical water quality information on each Nomads.com city page. When I arrive somewhere new, I want to know whether I can drink the tap water and what’s in it without having to search through local utility reports.
A city’s water section could include:
Whether tap water is generally safe to drink, with a link to current local advisories
Water hardness, ideally in mg/L as CaCO₃ (+ Low, Medium, High, Extreme)
Fluoride concentration in mg/L, and whether fluoride is added or naturally occurring (+ Low, Medium, High, Dangerous)
Other useful details, such as chlorination, taste, and whether a filter is commonly needed
Please show the source and date for each measurement, since water quality can vary by neighbourhood and change over time. Even a partial entry marked “data unavailable” would be helpful.
I recently looked this up for Podgorica: finding out that the tap water is advised as generally drinkable was fairly easy, but finding its fluoride level took much more digging. Having that information alongside the other city essentials would make Nomads.com more useful for planning a stay. Helph tingz ya know 🙏🫶
